Sportsters are NOT built for women, with their very high center of gravity it may be the opposite. I am a woman who has been riding for 15 years and the seat height may by lower than that of a dyna etc but the center of gravity is high making it more difficult to maneuver.
We have had many women who have sportsters get their seats done, they get the foam scimmed down and gel installed at the pan level to increase ride duration. There seams to be a comfort issue with sportster seats. Nearly any bike and seat can be altered to fit anyone of any height. You would be amazed at what you can do with the seat alone. I am only five foot tall. CHeck out realdealcustoms.com and see how they do it. I had two seats done.

I agree looking on something in a different way, or in a different side of it and you'll the different meaning and what it's trying to imply. It depends on the person on how he/she look at things. So it would be better if you at the things in a broader aspect of it.

Very fun post. I'll add my top 10:

10. Turn of your bedroom light. This only works once.

9. Add a new moon roof to your car.

8. End those telemarketing calls with one shot to the receiver.

7. Drain your pool in the fall.

6. Ice fishing hole.

5. Protest this season's Monday night TV lineup.

4. Use it to turn down that teenager's car sterio.

3. Check your neighbors new sound proof walls.

2. Finally put a stop to that irritating alarm clock.

1. The number one use of a gun - mask the sound of a loud fart!

That's right I said it,
Brian Hawkins

I agree and they've got the kids already hooked on it. No matter the time of day in my house whenever a kid enters any room there's an involuntary muscle action that causes their hand to instinctively flip on the light switch. Strangely enough this same involuntary action is not present when they exit the room. I spend half my time at home turning off lights.

I've never had the opportunity to sit on a BMW, they must have a very high seat. I noticed that on my Goldwing, the problem wasn't so much the seat height as the seat width.

I don't think there is a motorcycle made except for maybe a BMW that a woman couldn't ride. I am 6' and would have a hard time getting my feet on the ground on a BMW, while I have seen women on most other brands of Motorcycles including a Goldwing which is about 100 lbs heavier than a big Harley.

You describe my sentiments exactly.

I saw a letter from a viewer on Lou Dobbs that said, why can't we eliminate parties and elect Americans, who will think like
Americans, and work to govern Americans in a way that is best for America? Or something to that effect.
I can not remember the quote exactly.

I HAVE seen many many many auroras. They can be glorious and absolutely stunning.

I've seen auroras in Alaska, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and probably in other
states. Montana comes to mind. I lived there for two years.

The BEST most breathtaking aurora, one which I could FEEL and my body DRANK IN was here in
Wisconsin.

One morning at 5AM, the aurora covered the ENTIRE SKY down to within 20 degrees of the
SOUTHERN horizon. What is that? 90% of the sky? Absolutely AWESOME. You could FEEL
the "rain" coming down on you.

The aurora streamers(green, red, and blue) streamed down fanning in all directions from
the very zenith of the sky's dome. In other words, it appeared to be raining down directly
onto Wisconsin.

I can't say enough about it.

I EVEN called a friend at 5AM and told them about it. Woke 'em up and I am not sure they
appreciated it as much as I did, but truly I believe it was a once in a lifetime experience.

We may like the freedom of not wearing seat belts or helmets, but the wearing of both is proven to save lives. The way that people who do not wear seatbelts or
helmets affect others is in the added cost to society when society has to care for the paraplegic motorcyclist or driver or passenger who chose moments of freedom
over safe practices. Years of medical bills paid for by the taxpayer ENTITLE society to be against the incursion of such avoidable costs.

Hey, maybe we need someone like this to help us examine ALL of our options.

I may not advocate his ideas or candidacy, but I do have solutions to our country's problems that I think would work, even if they are extreme.

Problem: Terrorists kidnap hostages and demand that America (or Israel or whomever ...) release prisoners.
Solution: Shoot every prisoner they identify that they want released.
They may kill their hostages, but they WILL THINK TWICE about doing it again and identifying their friends in our jails that they want freed.

Therefore, for the price and sacrifice of one set of hostages, we may end any threat of future hostage taking for the purpose of getting us to free prisoners.

The sacrifice of a few hostages' lives is a much smaller cost than committing armies in the middle east to kill IDEAS like we are doing now. Ideas must be fought with ideas, not guns.

Maybe we need to consider the bizarre. The staid current positions only seem to be making the world worse.

I have very simple solution for those non-smokers who want to stamp out smoking in public places.
When you are asked where you want to sit, ALWAYS CHOOSE THE SMOKING SECTION. We know you won't be
smoking, so you will have created a space within which no smoking will occur while you are there.
Also, the space is not available to smokers. If enough non-smokers fill the smoking section, the smokers
must necessarily sit in the non-smoking section where the can't smoke.

Simple!

This is identical to my cousin's young son. They were eating dinner one evening and the
little boy somehow fell from his chair and was impaled by a sharp kitchen knife. He died.
I do not know the circumstances of how he came to be using such a knife, because I know he
was quite young (5 years old, I think). Very sad.
