Cabin Fever
It’s really bad this year, cabin fever that is.
If you don’t know what cabin fever is, you are lucky. It’s a condition where you really want to go outside and have fun, but it’s too cold. You’re sick of sitting inside and looking out at the brown grass, trees without leaves, and the ugly melting snow that is scattered around the brown grass.
I think that is is worse during winters that aren’t really winters. They are so mild that they can’t really be considered winters, just cold periods that prevent you from doing the things that you enjoy doing during the summer. You get about two or three snowfalls, but they don’t even amount to anything other than screwing up your commute for a day. The winters here have been so mild over the last few years that friends of mine who ride snowmobiles are considering trading them for motorcycles.
Ever since I traded my Honda for a Harley, I have ridden my motorcycle at least once every month, which is another testament to how mild the winter is.
